Each church tour is tailored to suit your requirements. They are suitable for groups such as NADFAS, WI and U3A, or for historical societies and clubs. You choose the area you would like to visit and the churches and itinerary are put together for you. John will make sure each church is open and available and at each one give an introductory talk after which will have time to explore on your own and he is happy to answer questions before you move onto the next church.

Most groups choose to visit 4 churches in a day, or two in a half day or evening. John will suggest timings and places to stop for refreshment.

It is recommended that you hire a coach or minibus for your tour. Many churches offer little in the way of parking for large numbers of cars and it is more environmentally friendly to travel together. It also means that there is little chance of getting lost in the narrow Norfolk lanes!

John is also happy to show individuals around particular churches – perhaps to tie in with family history research – and for this he charges on an hourly basis.

Church tours can take place at any time of year and can be themed to focus on particular aspects of ecclesiastical architecture or history.

Costs: prices are negotiable but cost in the region of £10 per head for a party of 20+. You will be responsible for your own coach hire and refreshments
